Description

This type was designed by Aldolph A Weinman, whose monogram, AW, appears under the tips of the wing feathers. This design has been re-mastered for use with the US Silver Eagle coins, which have been produced in .999 pure Silver since 1986.

With a mintage of a little over 1 million, this particular date might be a "sleeper" in the series.

With silver continuing to climb in value, you can't go wrong in purchasing these coins, even if you're not a "coin collector".
